How do I add contacts?

User contacts

Personal contacts created in AvidBit are private to their creator. To add a user contact:

1. Select Apps from the top toolbar
2. Choose Contacts3. Click the blue**+ Add** button
3. Enter the contact information
4. Leave ‘Contact Group’ set to No Selection6. ClickSaveOnce saved, you can access these contacts through theCommunicatorfeature (purple phone icon) or viaApps → Contacts.

Shared Contacts

These contacts can be distributed among multiple users within the AvidBit application:

1. From the top toolbar, select Apps2. ChooseContact Groups
2. Select an existing group or create a new one
3. To create: click + Add, then enter a name for the contact group
4. When adding contacts, assign them to the appropriate contact group to make them visible to all group members

Adding Contacts To A Desk Phone

Contacts must first be created in the app, then organized into a directory and assigned to a device profile. Each phone can have only one contact directory.

1. Navigate to Settings → Voice → Directories2. Click**+ Add** and name your directory
2. Select your new directory and click + Add to select contacts (use Shift+click to select ranges)
3. Save your selections
4. Go to Settings → Voice → Device Profiles6. Select your device profile and clickEdit
5. Assign your directory from the ‘Contact Directory’ dropdown
6. Provision all affected devices via Settings → Account → Devices
