How to create a file schedule
Creating a Schedule
Section titled “Creating a Schedule”Begin by accessing the schedule creation interface:
- From the top toolbar, select Settings2. Under theAccountcategory, selectSchedules3. ClickCreate Schedule
- Configure the schedule with a name, time zone, and optional owner designation
- Save your changes
Adding Rules to Your Schedule
Section titled “Adding Rules to Your Schedule”Once created, add conditional rules to your schedule:
- Select your newly created schedule and locate the “Date / Time Rules” section at the bottom
- Click the add button and choose a rule type — “Date Range” is typically used for file schedules
- Fill in a descriptive name along with the specific dates and times when the rule should be active
- Save your changes
Setting Up the File Schedule
Section titled “Setting Up the File Schedule”- Navigate back to Settingsand selectFilesunder theAccount section
- Click the green add button to create a new file schedule
- Link it to your previously created schedule from the dropdown menu
- Specify two types of content: the default file or text-to-speech message that plays when no rules apply, and the override file or message that plays when rule conditions are met
- “If you have entered in any text, press the play button next to the input field to cache the audio file” before saving
Applying to Hold Music
Section titled “Applying to Hold Music”Use your file schedule for custom hold music by creating a playlist in the Hold Music settings, adding your file schedule to it, and then assigning this playlist to your location’s voice preferences.
